About Untropy
When deciding to create this site, I sought a name to describe my goals and ambitions. Something to describe how a system can become more orderly over time, in the pursuit of continued excellence. I had ideas about what could integrate my different passions: art, music, design, and architecture.
My hope was to use a name that would not indicate any of these disparate disciplines directly. You know, because it would be dumb to call it something like 'architecturenow.com' or 'ilikeartandmuscicandstuff.net' or whatever. That might have been an excellent opportunity to look something up in the dictionary or thesaurus, and use a nice little esoteric word. Something that could separate the numinous domain names from the quotidian ones.
Instead, I just made something up.
'Untropy' is an amalgam of two concepts; it is the opposite of entropy, and has the smack of entrepreneur. I hope to being some level of order to all my pursuits, and approach solutions to my arts and crafts with the attitude of a creative maverick.
No stone should go unturned. No avenue should be left untrodden. No region should be unexplored. Every eye should be opened.
