Hot Beats
Back in 2007, I created a list of goals for the year. My hope was that having this list would cause me to accomplish more than I would IF I did not have such a thing. One of the activities on the list was to create music weekly, using Garageband, or similar software. I hoped this would help me learn to express my musical side a bit better. With no prior experience, I got to work.
I began in January, creating one new piece of media weekly, and named each file after the week number (first week's was 01, and so). I progressed quite well all the way through mid-April. Other things began to take away my time. Leading me to eventually abandon the pace.
In all, I produced 17 compilations over six months. Some are better than others. All are original, and use no samples (fully synthesized using the built-in wavetables in garageband).
Yes, they are mostly terrible. And, short. I mostly made loops, and expanded on some when creativity allowed. Some in between were not even worth posting.
Enjoy.
